PBS Special Featuring Gary Aguirre - What A Loon! A Kook! Oh, Wait, He Isn't...

I'm away from computers for a week, but everyone needs to watch the PBS special featuring Gary Aguirre. It's a great program, and underscores the reasoned, calm, rational demeanor of the man that the SEC is trying to paint as a crazy.

And it is chilling, in that when you listen to it, the truth cuts through like a laser light.

Pretty simple.

The system is broken, powerful hedge funds are untouchable, and those chartered with protecting the public are bought and paid for by the hedge funds. Simple.

Watch the program.

It's time for COX and his team to resign or get fired! NOW!

It is also time to send a message to the Democrats that they had better step up to the plate to protect the little investor or else every investor will make sure that Grassley and Specter will be back at the helm in Congress!

In other words protect us or lose the goddam election!

Remember it's the individual investors VOTE that counts and not some crooked hedge funds!

Sorry!
It wasnt deliberate it was a coincidence.

I couldn't resist!!!!
I promise to be good now, and I hope I made you laugh.Have a good day.
I have some comments on the SEC and Gary By Nutters at Work on 4/17/2007 9:23 AM
1) Having a calm demeanor is not an indicator of honesty.
2) The SEC has never tried to paint Gary as "crazy" or anything like it

The SEC has tried to paint Gary as someone who doesn't understand that merely suspecting someone of something based on flimsy "evidence" isn't sufficient to go on a fishing expedition.

You would appear to have a more rational demeanor if you would stick to reporting facts instead of making allegations about the SEC that aren't true (the painting comment).

Gary is almost certainly a sincere person. I also think Dave Patch and Bud are sincere people. But sincerity isn't a good substitute for reality.

People are more concerned with this Imus bullcrap than they are with thse scumbags in Congress who are taking payoffs from Wall Street and the Hedge Funds.

It's time we told these political pimps that we're Mad as Hell and not going to take their theiving ways anymore. The internet is the way to expose these crooks and we have the power to take back control.
Re: PBS Special Featuring Gary Aguirre - What A Loon! A Kook! Oh, Wait, He Isn't... By imus on 4/14/2007 2:27 AM
People don't care about Imus or OJ or Anna Smith - the media is controlled and whenever there is something big happening, they divert us with endless coverage of a meaningless story. Just because they broadcast it doesn't mean viewers want it.

If you have a loved one in Iraq, you know they cover the nonsense stories when losses are greatest. The day Iraq isn't mentioned and some celebrity is is the day something big happened.

Think 911. When the elite were planning the 911 attack on us, they had 24 hour a day, seven day a week coverage of Chandra Levy. We were put on "maximum diversion".

The censorship is well known and accepted in other topics. The bottom line is the press is controlled by the same handful of people who, like parasites, sap wealth from people that work for a living.

When a dog dumps its fleas, it has a much better life.

The time has come for us to dump our fleas. There are more of us than them and we're not going to take their shyte any more.

The answer is the internet.

Imus.
You have a good understanding of the media's job here in america.
Now if we could only get a political science buff to explain why this means we are no longer free in america.
There are basic things needed to have true freedom as defined by the writers of the constitution, which of these freedoms has been denied by the media's action/inaction ? How does this affect the other constitutional rights?
Imus gets a gold star anyone else in the class want to pick it up from here?
Sorry about the form of this post .Old educaters never die we just lose our class.

All matters money trickle (or gush) down from the real financial terrorists; the 13 or so families that privately own the little understood (and ingeniously misnamed) "Federal Reserve". Until Congress has the balls to throw out these parasitic money changers it will be fiat/counterfeit/flim-flam "business" as usual. Suggested reading: "The Creature From Jekyll Island", by G. If a tree fell in the forest and, no one knew.
O.K.
That was the previous stance but now that the tree farmer's are watching the trees get cut down and carted off even writing down the plate number's of the truck's/brokerage's that are robbing them and still ,know one knows.
Not O.K.
P.B.S. gives us a look at the problems caused by even talking about there being a problem.
While the truck's are on overtime trying to clear cut everything they can.
This is the thing america needs to know about now.
We needed to know a long time ago.
You have to wonder why no one told us.
It's becoming very clear they knew all along.

I just sent this to my senators. If you are short on time, feel free to copy and send this.. or edit it to your liking.

Dear Senator,

Last night PBS had a special report on whistleblower Gary Aquirre. Senator Dodd appeared and it looks like Congress is too busy to do the oversight of the SEC. Since the mid-term election, all the progress into cleaning up the SEC has been tabled.

http://www.pbs.org/now/shows/315/video.html

A lawsuit has been filed by a company that was driven out of business by 5 Mob families manipulating stock with the aid of major brokers. The DOJ and SEC went after the Mob, but did nothing with the brokers who facilitated the crime. The SEC had the information and did nothing to help the company. Unable to file its SEC forms because it was crumbling due to the manipulation, the SEC de-registered the company. In the de-registration proceedings, the company filed a FOIA and got all of the information about the co-conspirators. The case has already been proven against the brokers.

Here is the filing outlining the crimes and the ineffectiveness of the SEC.

http://207.19.102.48/Eagletech v Citigroup Complaint--Filestamped.pdf

It establishes that criminals are using the markets for illegal gains, money laundering and not paying taxes. With one third of the market with no oversight and the major brokerages being part of the organized crime, our markets are going to meltdown.

The SEC was complicit in this when they grandfathered the fraudulent shares and they now have delayed rescinding the illegal rules that they allowed. Hundreds of letters have been written to the SEC to get them to act now, and they postpone acting because they are bought and paid for.

Where Have All the Leaders Gone?
By Lee Iacocca with Catherine Whitney

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I
Had Enough?

Am I the only guy in this country who's fed up with what's happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder. We've got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, "Stay the course."

Stay the course? You've got to be kidding. This is America, not the damned Titanic. I'll give you a sound bite: Throw the bums out!

You might think I'm getting senile, that I've gone off my rocker, and maybe I have. But someone has to speak up. I hardly recognize this country anymore. The President of the United States is given a free pass to ignore the Constitution, tap our phones, and lead us to war on a pack of lies. Congress responds to record deficits by passing a huge tax cut for the wealthy (thanks, but I don't need it). The most famous business leaders are not the innovators but the guys in handcuffs. While we're fiddling in Iraq, the Middle East is burning and nobody seems to know what to do. And the press is waving pom-poms instead of asking hard questions. That's not the promise of America my parents and yours traveled across the ocean for. I've had enough. How about you?

I'll go a step further. You can't call yourself a patriot if you're not outraged. This is a fight I'm ready and willing to have.

My friends tell me to calm down. They say, "Lee, you're eighty-two years old. Leave the rage to the young people." I'd love to—as soon as I can pry them away from their iPods for five seconds and get them to pay attention. I'm going to speak up because it's my patriotic duty. I think people will listen to me. They say I have a reputation as a straight shooter. So I'll tell you how I see it, and it's not pretty, but at least it's real. I'm hoping to strike a nerve in those young folks who say they don't vote because they don't trust politicians to represent their interests. Hey, America, wake up. These guys work for us.

Who Are These Guys, Anyway?

Why are we in this mess? How did we end up with this crowd in Washington? Well, we voted for them—or at least some of us did. But I'll tell you what we didn't do. We didn't agree to suspend the Constitution. We didn't agree to stop asking questions or demanding answers. Some of us are sick and tired of people who call free speech treason. Where I come from that's a dictatorship, not a democracy.

And don't tell me it's all the fault of right-wing Republicans or liberal Democrats. That's an intellectually lazy argument, and it's part of the reason we're in this stew. We're not just a nation of factions. We're a people. We share common principles and ideals. And we rise and fall together.

Where are the voices of leaders who can inspire us to action and make us stand taller? What happened to the strong and resolute party of Lincoln? What happened to the courageous, populist party of FDR and Truman? There was a time in this country when the voices of great leaders lifted us up and made us want to do better. Where have all the leaders gone?

I have been on this board since its beginning and even before that. I have felt the hopelessness and frustration and lost many hours of sleep because of anger against our government and the vermin that would steal a baby's eyeballs and sell their mothers kidneys not just for the money but more important because they have been bred to misuse and abuse the the civilities we prided ourselves on. All of the prior post pretty much have the same theme. However I feel that the public awareness is growing and the wave is picking up momentum. It won't be long before someone throws another vermin under the bus to save their own ass, if it hasn't happened already. I am angry and frustrated and patience is wearing thin, but take solace knowing that we came this far. Thanks to this website and all who work at it. My happiness will be when Cramer and Bubba become good friends and Herb drops the soap in the shower.

As one who wishes to make real progress in combatting market fraud and SEC corruption, the mindless political tripe posted above (yes, including Lee Iococca) is entirely counterproductive.

The NOW documentary is progress in terms of informing the public, but it was less than 30 minutes on the subject, and it focused entirely on one case that caused Gary Aguirre's firing. They never asked Gary about implications of wider corruption in other cases or other types of cases. For example, Aguirre has commented in testimony to Congress that tactics such as naked shorting are used to manipulate stock prices. Yet, they never asked him about such things and stayed focused mostly on the mystery of hedge funds and how they make their money.

Again, the NOW program run with the bait left by the corrupt SEC management that John Mack, the suspected tipper, could not be pursued because he had too much political juice. They report that Mack raised $200K for G. W. Bush's campaign, but that is relatively small potatoes for a presidential race. Does anyone really think the SEC perps would say " no, we can't interrogate Mack because I'm hoping for a job with him as soon as he moves to Morgan Stanley?" In fact, is that not what actually happened? The guy at the SEC who blocked Aguirre's request to depose Mack now works either directly for MS or for its legal counse. The media needs to do a lot better job. Barely scratching the surface.

By-interested.
I agree with your take but the glass is half full. We never had the media put the bait out in the water to see how many fish can be caught. We were the fishermen and women. When the media can see this as a bigger story than Imus or the internet starts to light up that is a good start. I could give a rats ass about satanic cultures unless they make the SEC settle the trades. Its amazing how people try to sidetrack the real topic, but thats part of the script.JMO

By Judith Burns, Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES

WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- The Bush administration's plan for a 2.7% increase in the Securities and Exchange Commission budget in the upcoming fiscal year is enough to allow the SEC to "solidly execute" its mission of protecting investors, SEC Chairman Christopher Cox told lawmakers Tuesday.

Time to break out the vaseline again. The 2.7 is to help land them better jobs after their successful tenure at the SEC. I actually typed that without throwing up.

If these MFing scumbags would ever get off their lazy asses and do what their suppose to do instead of taking bribes then maybe, mabe we would be protected.

This country is run by a bunch of sick individuals.

"I have news for the gang in Congress. We didn't elect you to sit on your asses and do nothing and remain silent while our democracy is being hijacked and our greatness is being replaced with mediocrity. What is everybody so afraid of? That some bobblehead on Fox News will call them a name? Give me a break. Why don't you guys show some spine for a change? Had Enough? Hey, I'm not trying to be the voice of gloom and doom here. I'm trying to light a fire. I'm speaking out because I have hope. I believe in America. In my lifetime I've had the privilege of living through some of America's greatest moments. I've also experienced some of our worst crises, the Great Depression, World War II, the Korean War, the Kennedy assassination, the Vietnam War, the 1970s oil crisis, and the struggles of recent years culminating with 9/11. If I've learned one thing, it's this: You don't get anywhere by standing on the sidelines waiting for somebody else to take action. Whether it's building a better car or building a better future for our children, we all have a role to play. That's the challenge I'm raising in this book. It's a call to action for people who, like me, believe in America. It's not too late, but it's getting pretty close. So let's shake off the horseshit and go to work. Let's tell 'em all we've had enough "
Re: PBS Special Featuring Gary Aguirre - What A Loon! A Kook! Oh, Wait, He Isn't... By 13 stars is right on 4/15/2007 9:51 AM
13 stars, think of a little kid who is raped by incestuous parents. The kid knows it is wrong, but the parents provide food and shelter and "safety" from the big bad world.

Kids never want to believe their parents are evil, because they rely on them for protection.

I believe the great masses think of the government as a parent. The government is not your equal in their mind, but a protector that they look up to. The government is supposed to provide safety from foreign threats and a safety net to help us when we are down on our luck.

Just as the little kid refuses to believe the parents are evil, the great masses refuse to believe that their leaders are part of the same criminal enterprise that controls the media and court system and which steals trillions by not backing share or bank accounts with real shares or real money.

It's time to start rounding up the traitors who form this criminal enterprise.

Let's ignore everything is also right. These posts are off topic on one hand, but on another they are not. Clinton was governor when the CIA ran cocaine through Mena Arkansas and there are lots of links between the Clinton and Bush families. The proceeds of illegal arms and drug sales are laundered through the stock market and naked shorting is one well used technique. It's hard to understand stock market crimes without understanding how it intersects with the banking, drug and arms families, corrupt judges and leaders in government and media.

Note the picture of Richard Grasso in this must read article.

There is an overlap between the players in BCCI, our current political leaders and the arms, drug, banking, brokerage criminal enterprise.

It's both the Republicans and the Democrats and it is a mistake to expect one party or the other to save us. The same people fighting the "war on drugs" are importing drugs and laundering the money through the market. Did you ever wonder why heroin production spiked in Afghanistan after we invaded? The Taliban was plowing poppy fields under, which would have starved the stock market of needed capital.

Clintons are in it, too:

Is there a new member of the Bush family?
Sun Jan 29, 2006

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush says Bill Clinton has become so close to his father that the Democratic former president is like a member of the family

Who Was That Ex-President I Saw You With Last Night?

By Prorev.com Editor Sam SmithA reader inquires as to why Bill Clinton and Bush the Elder are so chummy these days. This is another case where just considering the political aspect of the news lets you down. A more helpful approach is to consider Clinton and Bush the heads of the two biggest political mobs in the country, a metaphor strengthened by a recent shot of the pair, both in shades, leaning back smugly in their chairs like a couple of big time dons. Sometimes the families work together; sometimes they fight it out.

America's course has been driven by mob politics since the Mafia helped Jack Kennedy get in the White House. Only two presidents have apparently been free of mob influence: Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter. Many of the most important events of our time reflect the influence of criminal forces - from the Mafia to corrupt big time bankers and local drug dealers

Money laundering via naked shorting.

"Most money laundering is done through the international commercial banking system. American domestic banks launder an estimated $100 billion (U.S.) of drug money annually. This includes several of America's largest financial institutions."

You can't talk about financial crimes without considering money flows from the illegal arms trade and drugs. That's what BCCI was all about.

Why are we sending the poorest sons and daughters to fight and die in Iraq? Why do we mindlessly stay the course? This is a country that fights a limited war in an effort not to lose. It is very limited indeed with no sacrifice from anybody but those from the middlewest and the ghetto The government will not close any loop holes in the financial system because it might inconvenience some of their more important constituents. What do you want to bet that many Hedge Funds are taking money from unidentified Middleastern sources using it to plunder small american investor's savings by filling their accounts with counterfeit shares. Some of those same Americans who make weekly contributions to their 401K plans are sending their kids to Iraq. In Iraq the terrorist's bombs are being paid for by the parent's of those same American kid's that are being killed. No one in the Media has the guts to connect the dots...See the nappy headed big picture so to speak.

Only now in this country could the obvious be so hard to see....The best thing that could happen to this country is that if by some miracal all our national politicians of both pesuasions would just disappear and we would just ignore it an watch re-runs of the Anna Nicole Show and bitch because American Idol would be in re-runs for a few days why we looked for them and in the end we might get another National Holiday out of it.

I hope global warming is real. The best thing that could happen to this country is if sea level rose twenty feet over night. Most if not all of the biggest crooks can look out their windows and see an ocean.

It appears that the thread is being hijacked by those who would convert the topic from stock market fraud, to theories of satanism and the poisoning of the population. I'm uninterested in having it move in that direction, and can't tell whether this is a deliberate crew working the board, or well-intentioned folks who can't stay on topic. Either way, it's over. Want to discuss the SEC and Gary Aguirre, the topic of this blog? Super. Anything else? Take it elsewhere. There are thousands of boards devoted to other views. They will eagerly await your takes.
